Together with Kravet, a fifth-generation industry leader in textiles and home furnishings, Studio DADO is pleased to announce the release of our cruise-worthy textile line entitled the “Voyages Collection.” The luxury leisure-inspired range includes upholstery, sheers and multipurpose fabrics for staterooms, suites and public areas. In creating the line, our design team ensured each textile adhered to IMO regulations and passed NFPA 701 standards, requirements specific for Marine use that are some of the most stringent of any industry.  

As a multidisciplinary studio, we couldn’t be prouder of this inaugural offering. The collection, inspired by our travels around the world, brings together a palette that is international and can be used in a multitude of environments and regions. Our goal was to create a truly cosmopolitan offering not tied to a particular look or style but representative of the diverse portfolio that our Studio is known for.

Within months of its launch, the Voyages Collection received the distinctive and prestigious (ADEX) Award for Design Excellence in textile design. This achievement attests to the dedication and passion that went into the collection and the seamless collaboration between both Studio DADO and Kravet as design partners.

By way of background, ADEX is the largest and most prestigious design competition in the architecture and design industry. The ADEX Award serves as the industry stamp of approval for superior design of architecture and design projects and related furnishings and building materials. Approximately 3,000 internationally renowned industry professionals comprise the ADEX global advisory board and during the 2020-2021 submission cycle, over 600 companies participated in the 2020-21 ADEX Awards. We are honored to be recognized amongst our peers as we continue collectively serving a discerning design clientele. 

Thanks to the initial success of the Voyages Collection, Kravet and Studio DADO are embarking on another design journey together and we couldn’t be happier. Our design teams are hard at work and look forward to bringing the new collection to market within the next year. Stay tuned.
