All eyes are on Regent Seven Seas Grandeur, as Christie Galeano-Demott from Condé Nast Traveler explores the ship’s dazzling art collection, with special recognition of Studio DADO’s work as the sole interior architect:

“The ship’s contemporary aesthetic, curated by design firm Studio DADO, complements the collection beautifully: a diamond tennis bracelet-inspired chandelier dazzles above the vessel’s walnut-clad grand staircase. Inside the signature restaurant Compass Rose, crystal-embellished trees and an illuminated canopy tower overhead, casting a shimmering glow on tables set with glitzy under-the-sea-themed china by Versace.”

Studio DADO collaborated with Regent Seven Seas to delve into the inspiration behind the “Tree of Life” sculpture on Regent Seven Seas Cruises Grandeur. The artwork sits outside the Pacific Rim restaurant as a reminder of the beauty and fragility of life. Watch the full video below.

“Studio DADO is a group of designers that see the world without limitations.”

“When Regent approached us about designing the Tree of Life, we were really intrigued by what that could be. What is the story that we want to portray and what is the message that it leaves behind?”

Every year, Condé Nast reveals their list of the latest and greatest hospitality and travel openings. The editors carefully selected 14 cruise ships for 2024 and Studio DADO provided the majority of the interior design for three of them: Regent Seven Seas Grandeur, Oceania Cruises Vista, and Norwegian Cruise Lines Viva.

“This is a strong statement about the power of design,” says Studio DADO Co-Founder Yohandel Ruiz. “On all three ships, our team crafted a unique story that speaks to the kind of travel experiences that today’s guests are looking for.”

Norwegian Cruise Lines Viva

Studio DADO was one of five design firms responsible for creating interiors onboard Viva, as well as her sister ship, Prima, including a number of key public spaces, including the Penrose Atrium, six of the ship’s dining venues, and staterooms and suites. Our team responsible for the largest number of spaces out of the five firms, encompassing the highest percentage of the total public area.

Care to take a peek inside the most luxurious suite aboard the latest ship in the “World’s Most Luxurious Fleet”? Architectural Digest featured the DADO-designed Regent Suite aboard Regent’s Seven Seas Grandeur and interviewed our co-founder, Yohandel Ruiz. In his own words, “Every piece in that suite, from the lighting to the shower experience to the dining experience, everything was elevated to an art form.”

As the sole interior architects for Seven Seas Grandeur, Studio DADO designed the guest suites, retail shops, observation lounge, French restaurant Chartreuse, modern steakhouse Prime 7, the Compass Rose main dining room, the pool deck, as well as many other venues aboard ship. Each space was customized and crafted to appeal to a refined sense of luxury, utilizing natural light, space, layout, texture, art and rich materiality to give guests a one-of-a-kind experience.

Because Seven Seas Grandeur hosts just 732 guests and enjoys longer itineraries, Studio DADO had the opportunity to create intimate, personal spaces with an elevated, residential feel. From the guest suites to the lounges to the array of restaurants, the design is meant to combine a sense of comfort and curiosity— rooms transform throughout the day, every angle has a differentview, and guests can have unique experiences even within the same spaces. The art collection on board, from paintings tolithographs to art installations, is a sight to behold and is fittingly anchored by the only Fabergé Imperial egg to reside at sea.
