Care to take a peek inside the most luxurious suite aboard the latest ship in the “World’s Most Luxurious Fleet”? Architectural Digest featured the DADO-designed Regent Suite aboard Regent’s Seven Seas Grandeur and interviewed our co-founder, Yohandel Ruiz. In his own words, “Every piece in that suite, from the lighting to the shower experience to the dining experience, everything was elevated to an art form.”
As the sole interior architects for Seven Seas Grandeur, Studio DADO designed the guest suites, retail shops, observation lounge, French restaurant Chartreuse, modern steakhouse Prime 7, the Compass Rose main dining room, the pool deck, as well as many other venues aboard ship. Each space was customized and crafted to appeal to a refined sense of luxury, utilizing natural light, space, layout, texture, art and rich materiality to give guests a one-of-a-kind experience.
Because Seven Seas Grandeur hosts just 732 guests and enjoys longer itineraries, Studio DADO had the opportunity to create intimate, personal spaces with an elevated, residential feel. From the guest suites to the lounges to the array of restaurants, the design is meant to combine a sense of comfort and curiosity— rooms transform throughout the day, every angle has a differentview, and guests can have unique experiences even within the same spaces. The art collection on board, from paintings tolithographs to art installations, is a sight to behold and is fittingly anchored by the only Fabergé Imperial egg to reside at sea.
