Jovanny Lopez and Camilo Peña have been elevated as part of future-focused strategy
MIAMI — (July 2, 2024) — Studio DADO, the Miami-based design practice, has named Jovanny Lopez as an Associate and Camilo Peña a Senior Designer in a move that strengthens the firm’s next generation of design talent.
In making the announcement, Yohandel Ruiz, one of DADO’s four founding partners, praised the talents of both Lopez and Peña: “Jovanny and Camilo contribute so much to who DADO is. They’re both impressive creative talents who understand the unique challenges of what we do, but they also help define our culture and personality. They’re our future.”
Studio DADO celebrates its eighth anniversary this year. The practice, which is known for its creativity and high level of design, is coming off consecutive years of growth and profitability, including the launch of three major design efforts in the last 12 months: Norwegian Viva, Oceania Vista, and Regent Seven Seas Grandeur.
Jovanny has been with DADO since DADO’s founding—its first employee after the four founders—and has focused on the design of F&B venues and public spaces for cruise ships and hotels. The ideal blend of design talent and project management acumen, Jovanny holds a master’s degree in Interior Architecture from Florida International University.
Camilo joined DADO in 2019 and has emerged as one of DADO’s most versatile design talents, concentrating on hotel guest rooms, cruise ship staterooms and suites. He holds a master’s degree in Interior Architecture from Florida International University.
